ANTI-CORRUPTION HACKATHON 2022

A TECH4GOOD HACKATHON THAT BROUGHT PEOPLE TOGETHER ACROSS SOUTHERN & EAST AFRICA TO CO-CREATE ANTI-CORRUPTION SOLUTIONS THROUGH EMERGING TECHNOLOGIES

Our hybrid event allowed participants to network with like-minded peers, and create uncommon solutions to combat corruption in Southern and East Africa. The most promising ideas receive up to $10,000 and mentorship to further develop their tools.

What is HackCorruption?

In July 2022, Accountability Lab partnered with the Center for International Private Enterprise and the Bureau of International Narcotics & Law Enforcement (INL) at the US State Department to host HackCorruption, a hybrid #tech4good event that brought together 100 participants from 6 Southern and East African countries to come up with solutions to anti-corruption challenges. The participants will take part in a boot camp in Johannesburg in October to create prototypes of their winning solutions in public procurement, digital security and open data.
